R E S O L U T I O N                                      
                                                                                
   CONCERNING THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM IN THE BALTIC STATES                   
                                                                                
     Acknowledging the creation of the joint tourism organization               
of Estonia,  Latvia, and  Lithuania "Tourism  Organization of the               
Baltic States"  (TOBS) the  Baltic  Assembly  recommends  to  the               
Baltic Council of Ministers:                                                    
     1)  to  improve  the  border  crossing  procedures  and  the               
sanitary conditions  of border   posts, focusing attention on the               
border posts at the Lithuanian-Polish border.                                   
     2) to  further encourage  tourism marketing  and advertising               
through the  joint Tourism  Organization  of  the  Baltic  States               
(TOBS).
