RECOMMENDATION                                         
                CONCERNING RELATIONS WITH UKRAINE                               
                                                                                
     The Baltic Assembly urges the Baltic Council of Ministers to               
foster its relations with Ukraine in view of the latter's growing               
importance in  Europe. It  is also  Ukraine's express  wish to be               
helped by the Baltic States on its way to closer cooperation with               
Western and Central European countries.
