RESOLUTION                                           
              ON THE RAILWAY PASS BALTRAIL FOR THE                              
                          BALTIC STATES                                         
                                                                                
     The Baltic Assembly calls on the Baltic Council of Ministers               
and the Governments of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania to introduce               
a railway  pass BALTRAIL  which could be used both in each Baltic               
State individually  and in  all three  Baltic States and which in               
the future  could be  used in a joint system with similar railway               
passes of  other countries.  The railway  pass  would  facilitate               
railway travel  of the  population of the Baltic States and would               
promote the development of tourism in the Baltics.
