RESOLUTION
ON HARMONIZATION OF TRADE REGULATIONS ON AGRICULTURAL AND
FISHERIES PRODUCTS IN THE BALTIC STATES
The different systems related to customs and the protection
of the internal market in the Baltic States impede the
implementation of the Baltic States Free Trade Agreement
particularly in regard to agricultural and fisheries products,
encumber customs and border control between the Baltic States,
and encourage smuggling.
The Baltic Assembly recommends that the Baltic Council of
Ministers review and resolve this problem and, in compliance with
the Baltic Free Trade Agreement, agree about trade regulations on
agricultural and fisheries products.
