SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA
RESOLUTION
ON THE ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA LAW
ON SMALL ENTERPRISES
The Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania resolves:
1. To establish that the Republic of Lithuania Law on Small
Enterprises shall enter into force on 1 January 1992.
2. To establish that:
1) enterprises which may acquire the status of small
enterprise shall inform the registrar of the register (of
enterprises) and the State Tax Inspectorate of the appropriate
town or district of the acquisition of the status;
2) for the period of three years, new jobs created by
investments shall not be included in the established quota of
employees.
3. To commission the Government of the Republic of Lithuania
to:
1) prepare and approve by 1 January 1992 the list of
activities that are not liable to be stimulated as provided by
Article 1 of the Law on Small Enterprises;
2) ensure that the Ministry of Finance and the Statistical
Department prepare by 1 February 1992 a simplified procedure of
accounting of and accountability for the productive activities of
small enterprises.
4. To establish that:
1) tax reliefs shall be applicable to small enterprises from
the day of their acquisition of the status of small enterprise;
2) small enterprises shall be deprived of the right to tax
reliefs beginning with the accounting period (quarter) when they
loose the status of small enterprise.
