SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA
RESOLUTION ON THE ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE LAW ON HOLIDAYS
The Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania resolves:
1. To establish that:
the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Lithuania shall enter
into force on 1 January 1992, with the exception of Article 7
which shall enter into force on 31 January 1992;
employees working in harmful conditions who have the length
of their annual holiday decreased after the entry into force of
the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Lithuania shall be
granted holidays in accordance with effective standard acts
which establish holiday periods longer than 28 calendar days
until the Law on Personal Safety at Work is adopted;
employees who have unused annual holiday time remaining up
until the entry into force of the Law on Holidays of the
Republic of Lithuania shall be granted holidays in accordance
with the standard acts which were effective at that time.
2. To commission the Government of the Republic of
Lithuania:
1) to prepare, by 15 April 1992, a draft amendment of the
Labour Code of the Republic of Lithuania, as well as of other
labour laws in force which are related to the adoption of this
Law;
2) to approve, by 31 January 1992, the list of
categories of employees entitled to extended annual holidays,
concurrently establishing a concrete holiday period for each
category of employees.
