AMENDMENTS TO THE STATUTES OF THE BALTIC ASSEMBLY PRIZES
FOR LITERATURE, THE ARTS AND SCIENCE
In accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the
Baltic Assembly in Tallinn on 21 October 1994, and the proposals
submitted by the Baltic Assembly Prize Joint Jury Committee in
Riga on 22 October 1994, the Baltic Assembly at its 5th Session
in Vilnius, Lithuania accepted the following amendments to its 15
May 1994 Statutes on the Baltic Assembly Prizes for Literature,
the Arts and Science:
1. To add to Article 2.3 the following sentence:
"Nomination for the prize for Science may include large
fundamental scientific works (monographs) which, although not
published within the last three years, are considered to advance
human knowledge in that particular field."
2. To add to the first paragraph of Article 3.5 the following
sentence:
"The Joint Judging Committee decides its own internal
working procedures."
